How Fit Are You? See How You Measure Up
You probably have some idea of how fit you are. But knowing the specifics can help you set realistic fitness goals, monitor your progress and maintain your motivation. Once you know where you're starting from, you can plan where you want to go.
Measuring your fitness level is surprisingly easy, and the health experts at Mayo Clinic can show you how. If you're an eligible participant, log on to the Carpenters EmbodyHealth website. In the search box (upper right corner) enter the words measure up. You'll be directed to a do-it-yourself fitness assessment with instructions for measuring aerobic fitness, muscular fitness, flexibility, and body composition.
Don't stop there. The EmbodyHealth site also gives you access to My Fitness Solution, a guided online program to help you set goals and record your cardio and strength training activities. This program also gives you tips, tools and ideas for getting active and staying that way.
Are you enrolled in Carpenters Rewards? If so, you can earn up to 200 Rewards points for participating in My Fitness Solution. You can earn points for aerobic exercise, too, and lots of other health programs and activities that can improve your health. Remember, you only need 1,000 points to earn a $100 gift card.
