Retiree Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Plan 

Summary

Effective January 1, 2009, the Carpenters Health and Security Plan established the Retiree Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Plan to help retirees and their dependents pay monthly contributions for Retiree Coverage and monthly contributions for post-retirement COBRA Coverage following dollar bank eligibility. Retiree HRA accounts are established in accordance with Revenue Ruling 2002-41, Treasury Notices 2002-45, 2013-54 and 2015-87 as a retiree-only health reimbursement arrangement. The monthly contributions paid through the Retiree HRA are intended to be excluded from the gross income of retirees and dependents.
